Trailer Katz Rescue, Inc. is a privately owned and operated 501(c)(3) Non-Profit cat rescue in East Texas, established in April 2025.
We are not a shelter and do not have any staff. We are home-based, so we are not open to the public.
We are not state or federally funded and rely solely on donations. Donations are greatly needed. Every penny of donations goes toward rescue expenses, as we are a 100% volunteer-based organization.
At Trailer Katz Rescue, Inc., we are dedicated to providing a safe and loving environment for the kittens in our care. Our mission is to rescue and find forever homes for kittens.
We are currently overwhelmed with kittens and are operating on our own funds at the moment; therefore, we are not accepting any new kittens at this time.

Ms. Tabitha Fangs showed up at my home one day, looking adorable and acting very friendly. No one in the neighborhood claimed her, so I named her Tabitha (because she's a tabby cat) Fangs (because she would show her long teeth). I would bring her inside during the cold nights and put her back out each morning so that she could make her rounds around the neighborhood. She even had her own bedroom.

After a while, she gained weight in her belly, so I took her in for an ultrasound, and guess what?! She was pregnant with four kittens! After checking with the neighborhood again, I brought her in and eventually helped her give birth. Lili, Skipper, Luna, and Shadow were born in late February 2025.
Tabitha was such a good momma, but she hated staying inside. She insisted on being outdoors. After two long months of her being inside 24/7, her babies were weaned, and Ms. Tabitha was spayed and received her rabies vaccine. After 2 weeks of healing, she finally went back outside. She was soooo happy to run up the trees and chase the moles, but she slept on the porch every single night. Every now and then, she brings me a mole or two.
After calling around to rescues in hopes of finding new homes for the kittens and getting nowhere, I took it upon myself to care for the kittens and Tabitha. Thus creating the kitten rescue.
Lili, Luna, and Skipper were adopted out at our first adoption event. Shadow was supposed to go to a new home, but the person backed out at the last minute, after reserving Shadow for nearly 2 months! Shadow has become part of the family with my three big cats, although he is still available for adoption.
We plan to expand our space and acquire a traveling trailer/camper (Traveling Cat Lounge), hence the name Trailer Katz Rescue. All the cool names were taken.

Stop by our table for some trick or treating at the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler.
