About Us
Trailer Katz Rescue, Inc. is a privately owned and operated cat rescue in East Texas. We are not a shelter, do not have any staff and are not open to the public. Our mission is to rescue and rehome kitties, specifically focusing on kittens. We also trap neuter/spay and release feral cats in the community to stop reproduction of kittens and to help reduce the overpopulated cat community.
We are registered as a nonprofit in Texas and have applied for a 501(c)(3) IRS tax exemption, status is pending. We are not state or federally funded and rely solely on donations. Since we are a new startup, we are covering costs out of our own pockets to save these kitties' lives. Donations are greatly needed. Every penny of donations goes toward rescue expenses, as we are volunteer based. We plan to expand our space and get a traveling trailer/camper (traveling cat lounge), hence the name Trailer Katz, and be able to travel to different locations.
